Cory Richins Family: Vacation

So we just got back from our vacation to Tennessee. Can I just say that it was amazing! We had such a great time. We started out flying into Knoxville on Saturday night. (It was supposed to be Saturday afternoon but our flight got cancelled and we were stuck in the Dallas airport for four hours). Then on Sunday morning we got up early and drove to Morristown, TN. Cory served for six months in this area and we were able to go to church there. I got to meet a few people from his mission. Then Cory took me up to some friends house that is just beautiful. They live on top of a hill and have the most gorgeous view ever. After driving around Morristown for a bit we decided to head up to Sevierville. We found a cute motel there and stayed the night. The next morning we headed up to hike the Smokey mountains. We hiked 3 miles up to a waterfall. It was beautiful. Seriously I have never seen anything like it.

On Monday evening we went to a dinner show called the Dixie Stampede. It was fun. They had yummy food that we got to eat with our hands, crazy horse stunts and lots of music and dancing. Definately would recommend this show, just be prepared for the price. (ouch) Then we went and stayed in a cabin. We got upgraded to a better cabin because the air conditioning wasn't working in the other one. Both cabins were beautiful and such a fun experience.

Tuesday we went up to Gatlinburg which is really touristy. It was beautiful too. We went to the Ripley's aquarium and the believe it or not museum. We also rode the sky lifts to the top of the mountain.

Wednesday we went to Dollywood. I am a rollercoaster junkie and had a great time at dollywood. They have some sweet rollercoasters!

Thursday we did some shopping and wandered a lot. There was so much to see and do in this part of TN. I would definately recommend going. IT was beautiful and the people there are amazingly nice and courteous. Several times we were upgraded or given complimentary this or that just because.
